Steve Barnett Loves His iPad

Complete Office of California Account Manager Steve Barnett recently submitted the following iPad article from CNN Money. Steve’s submission comes as no surprise since Steve has been using an iPad to service his Complete Office customers for quite sometime. In a recent phone conversation, Steve told our Marketing Department why: “He’d be lost without his iPad.”

Steve Barnett:

I love my iPad. It’s light, it’s fast and it makes me completely mobile which makes me as efficient as I can be. My iPad is also a great conversation piece. Nearly every customer I visit wants my iPad. I tell customers to become a fan of our Facebook Page and they’ll have a chance to win one.

Complete Office of California is giving away a 16GB iPad2 in a random drawing. The first 1000 people that become fans of our page are automatically entered into the drawing. As a bonus our monthly newsletter features ways for subscribers to enter the contest more than once. I have quite a few customers taking advantage of the opportunity.

I’m not by definition a “Tech Geek” but I do understand that I have a responsibility to keep up with the times. So like any new piece of technology the iPad took a little getting used to. I had to make some small adjustments to my workflow but the learning curve was not an issue.

Can’t justify buying a $500 tablet simply for entertainment? Then take it seriously: Make an investment in these add-ons and get down to business.

A Case And A Keyboard

Two-fingered typing on an iPad’s screen may suffice for quick e-mails, but real work requires a real computer feel.

Turn your tablet into a laptop with the Logitech Keyboard Case for iPad 2, an aluminum protector for your tablet that also works as a wireless keyboard and stand.

Essential Software

Business computing inevitably means running across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Be prepared: Quickoffice Pro HD lets you create and edit documents in formats compatible with Microsoft Office. Store work on the iPad or use online services such as Google Docs and Dropbox.

More Memory

Portable Hard Drive

An iPad stuffed with videos and other downtime fun may not have space for important work files. No problem: A portable hard drive holds plenty of business and personal files. Some even have built-in Wi-Fi that lets you stream files wirelessly to as many as three iPads.

Is An iPad Up To The Task?

What you can do: Get substantive work done – reports, spreadsheets and business presentations — without having to tote your notebook computer. You can also check e-mail and surf the web.

What you can’t do: Edit Office documents using every last feature you have on your primary computer.

Good info Steve. I would like to have one also since it’s nice to be able to show clients pictures of products from your I-Pad. It would also be a timesaver since now I duck into Starbucks, go online, etc. I understand the I-Pad is always on.
Keith- Also with Complete Office in the San Diego are.
